While our agency did not have direct involvement in the processing of the claim itself, please know that we did everything we could to assist and communicate on behalf of your mother’s estate. Unfortunately, there were legal requirements that had to be met before payment could be released, since the home was still listed with a mortgage and under an estate without a named representative. We did not receive the mortgage payoff notice until September 28th, which unfortunately caused an additional delay in finalizing payment. We completely understand how discouraging this felt after the difficult circumstances and the effort you put in to move things forward.
